Spider-man is good and heartwrenching because it’s like what if there was a guy who wanted to save people and be happy and the universe said you can pick one or the other and he chose the former. It’s also the funniest thing ever because it’s like what if there was a guy that the universe just hated so bad it came up with situations no one else has ever been in before to put him in on the daily. It’s comical. He’s fighting off space monsters trying to eat new York with one hand because he has to take selfies the whole time for his real job but he has to make it look like they’re NOT selfies and then he goes home to his one bedroom apartment with 2 eggs and nothing else in the fridge and the next day at work his boss calls him a loser because the selfies he took while fighting the space beast are blurry and he’s just like ok 👍

the “came back wrong” trope except like… they didnt. like this mad scientists wife died, and so he studied necromancy, brought her back, and she came back and it all worked. like she came back exactly the same as she was before with literally no difference. but the scientist guy is like “oh no… what have i done…. shes Different now!!!! she came back Wrong!!!!” and shes just like. chilling. reading a book. cooking dinner. shes just so so normal but in the guys mind hes like “oh shes soooo weird” but shes just normal
